TEAC creates a modern-day take on the 'traditional' Music CentrePress Release dated: 10 Dec 2013
Time to unpack the polyester trousers, floral prints and and big shirt collars… TEAC is taking us back to the 70s with the unashamedly retro-styled LP-P1000 music system.

* CD player supports CD-R/RW discs and MP3/WMA files
* AM/FM tuner with 20AM/20FM presets
* 2 x 25W power
* Digital Clock/Timer feature
* 2 x auxiliary stereo inputs/1 stereo output (for turntable)
* Separate 2-way bass-reflex loudspeakers with cables
Combining bang up to date technology and great sound quality at an affordable real-world price the TEAC LP-P1000 is set to re-introduce the delights of the music centre to both old and new generation listeners.
The evocative design houses a traditional turntable, CD player, AM/FM tuner and a wireless Bluetooth connection for smartphones and tablets, this is a do-it-all device that the whole family can enjoy. Supplied with matching 2-way hi-fi speakers the simple-to-use LP-P1000 – available in cherry or black woodgrain finishes – really is the answer to many a music lover's prayer.
The turntable boasts a handy auto-return tonearm (no need to leap out of your chair seconds before a record ends) and, amazingly, plays vintage 78rpm albums, as well as more common 33rpm albums and 45rpm singles. With a proper rubber mat and a quality sapphire-tipped ceramic cartridge (there's an optional SP-type diamond stylus for those mostly who play singles) this will have you grooving to all your old (and new) vinyl in no time.
For an even greater choice of music just turn to the built-in Bluetooth connectivity - just a few simple clicks and the LP-P1000 will be paired with your smartphone or tablet. Listen to your own library of songs, your subscription music service or your favourite internet radio stations… all delivered via the LP-P1000's generous 2 x 25 watts amplifier.
And for 'device-free' listening don't forget there's a built-in AM/FM tuner (with 40 presets) as well as a 'traditional' CD player that's compatible with self-made CD-R/RW discs (MP3/WMA-encoded tracks will play fine too). Usefully, both sources can be activated via the built-in digital clock's on/off timer too (comes with a sleep timer facility for extra snooze time).
Want to hook up a non-Bluetooth-equipped source? You can. Two auxiliary stereo inputs (one via phonos, one via a minijack) let you connect your legacy gear. And a stereo output even lets you pipe the output from the turntable to an external amplifier or recorder.
Throw in a headphone socket for private listening plus a comprehensive remote control and you've got a brilliant package that have you playing tune after tune.
Got all that? Now repeat after me… D… I… S… C…O!
