TEAC unveils unique 'desktop' 2.1-channel sub/sat systemPress Release dated: 28 May 2014
Designed to match the acclaimed Reference 01 series of TEAC electronics, the new LS-WH01 is a stylish 2.1-channel sub/sat system unlike any other.
- A powerful and compact 2.1 speaker system that visually matches the A-H01 USB DAC-equipped Integrated Stereo Amplifier
- Powerful sub-bass sound achieved by innovative HVT Technology
- High performance full-range satellite speakers to match the Subwoofer
The secret of the subwoofer's low-frequency prowess is HVT (Horizontal-Vertical Transforming) Technology. This cleverly employs two opposite facing diaphrams, located on the subwoofer's top and and bottom panels, which move in opposite directions to each other when being driven, delivering substantial bass but with minimal cabinet vibration.
If owners wish the subwoofer unit – which features an ultra-rigid, die-cast aluminium chassis - can also be positioned horizontally, alongside, say, a mini tower PC or a flatscreen television. Wherever, and however, the subwoofer is positioned the glossy piano black finish of the accompanying full-range satellite speakers will add a final, finishing touch of extra visual luxury.
When it comes to delivering high quality sound from a small, low-profile package the LS-WH01 makes a more than compelling case for itself.
